There seem to be many different ways to define what a virtual tour is.  There is no real right or wrong answers but perhaps some are a stretch.  A couple of years ago we saw a commercial on TV for some pheasant land for sale in South Dakota.  The commercial went on to say you could go onto their website to see a virtual tour.  We always like to see other VT provider's work so we promptly cranked up the computer to check it out.  We saw a link on their home page that said "virtual tour" and when clicked we were let down.  It was just 8 pictures taken with a rotten digital camera.  So why did they call it a virtual tour?  Well, it got us to look.  That was the point of the commercial, to drive us to the website. 

So what is a "real virtual tour"?  Most folks in the industry would suggest the type where you click on the image and can move around or interact with the image is a "real virtual tour" also known as "360 degree virtual tours".  Many of you may have seen this type if you have been in the market for real estate.
